Urban Couture Fashion Takeover

There’s a “Fashion Takeover” event happening each week, up until the Urban Couture Fashion Art Expo on Saturday, May 22, 2010.  A venue will be taken over by fashion, style and a show like no other!  Expect to see a unique blend of fashion and music, giving people a sneak preview of what they will see at the Urban Couture event.  This Saturday, May 8th, Larissa Verdussen of House of Rag Doll will be featuring her collection at Ruby Skye.

Larissa gets the inspiration for her collection from her Brazilian roots and professional dance experience.  Her background as a professional dancer and teacher ,with her learned trade of fashion design, results in clothes that are executed to better suit the body’s figure and movements.  Furthermore, the eco-friendly materials she uses are carefully selected and handcrafted with the principle purposes of fashion, comfort and function.  Expect to see a collection with a variety of textures that are fashioned to compliment the body.

While people are enjoying the runway show, they’ll be further entertained by the stylistic spinning of world renowned DJ Mark Farina (Mushroom Jazz, Om Records). Doors open at 9:00 PM and the fashion show takes place at 11:00 PM.  Come get a glimpse of what the Urban Couture Fashion Art Expo is all about.

Additional “Fashion Takeover” events include:
Loft 1513, iKohl, and House of Lamadora featuring their collection on May 15, 2010 at Vessel Lounge, 85 Campton Place in San Francisco.
Skylier Wear featuring their collection on May 16, 2010 at This Must Be The Place, 2022 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland.
