Michael Kors will be showing his Fall 2010 Collection tonight at the SF Ballet Auxiliary Fashion Show. One of SF Ballet’s most popular fundraising events, each year they select a designer collection that was featured in the Bryant Park Fashion Week Fall Collections. Tonight’s event will take place at The Westin St. Francis. A cocktail reception starts at 5:30pm, followed by a live auction, raffle and fashion show at 7:00pm.
The fashion show promises to be a fashion inspiring show of elegance. The Michael Kors Fall 2010 collection is classic tailored with attitude thrown into the details, such as a distressed bomber jacket with big, fur collars, spangly herringbone jackets, and a belted fur skirt. The line is keeping with the trend of a military inspired palette of charcoal, camel, olive and black. The neutral palette with subdued tones creates an impact when combined with the rich textures and clean, well-cut lines.
Some of the trends in the collection include slouchy suede boots with bunched socks, paired with skirts and dresses of varying lengths and relaxed trousers paired with luxurious sweaters. As with most other Fall 2010 collections shown at Bryant Park, suede, leather and fur are a recurring theme. His pieces come together to provide a versatile and comfortable look that can be worn season after season.
