Look On The Streets: Levi’s Plaza 4-23-10

Levi’s Plaza Park is the perfect place to relax on an afternoon and people watch.  It’s a beautiful corporate space that is accessible to the public and provides a quiet haven from the busy rush of the Financial District or Embarcadero.  During the week, you’ll see people from the Levi Strauss & Co. offices, who are making decisions and setting the trends in fashion for Levi’s worldwide brands.  Casual and street fashion are Levi’s specialties, and we found a lot of inspiration of both during our afternoon at the plaza.

The first woman we encountered hit on several current popular trends – military inspired, deconstructed boyfriend jeans and long scarves. Michelle is wearing a military inspired jacket by Pierre P.S. and deconstructed jeans by Levi’s.  Her fashionable yellow striped scarf brings a great pop of color to her outfit.

We love the look of this woman.  Not only was she stylish, but she had a beautiful attitude.  Stephanie Nadile, a Levi’s Men’s Shirt Designer, is wearing a blouse from Urban Outfitters, sweater from Zara, skinny jeans from Levi’s, bag from Tahari and vintage boots.  She said she was having an “off day” in terms of styling, so we can only imagine how amazing she looks when she has her inner fashionista unleashed!

We chased down these three people who actually saw us and were the first to say “hello.”  We love it when we encounter beautiful, friendly people!  We initially were drawn to the woman’s platform wedge shoes, which are so trendy right now.  By the end of our photo shoot with them, we were engaged by their style, confidence and energetic personalities.

Geena Pieretti is wearing skinny destroyed denim jeans by Charlotte Russe and a knit halter blouse from Julie’s Closet.

Landon Falgoust is wearing straight leg, black faded jeans from Alfani, a v-neck t-shirt from Express and Converse Chucks shoes.

Kaylan Morgan is wearing stonewashed jeans from Levi’s and a white Alfani v-neck t-shirt.  He mentioned he actually cuts and styles his own hair – impressive!  Kaylan is Landon’s brother – both model for City Model Management, Inc

Geena is carrying a cute logo Coach purse.

We like the casual, street chic look of these two work partners.  The styling option of rolled up skinny jeans with ankle boots looked fantastic on the woman.  Julie Scelzo is wearing skinny jeans from Levi’s, a drape knit cardigan by Splendid, a knit layered top by Club Monaco, sunglasses from Bulgari, Rachel Comey ankle boots and a stylish long scarf.  Desmond Lavelle is the definition of the casual Friday look.  He’s wearing a James Perse sweater, J.Crew polo, Dockers khakis and Barbados shoes.

We love the look of a large, long scarf, but it is hiding Julie’s beautiful drape knit top from Club Monaco.

We like the designer detailing on the clothes worn by Kevin McRae.  He is wearing a woven button down shirt from Banana Republic, that has an interesting stitch design on the shoulder panels and front pockets.  His jeans from Lucky are sandblasted and stonewashed with slight fraying at the bottom.  The back pocket detailing looked great too, but we didn’t take a picture of his backside.  His stylish shoes are from Kenneth Cole.

The military look is so trendy and fashionable now.  Idil Kozan is wearing a military inspired jacket from Zara.  The shoulder panels are in a dyed-to-match contrast fabric that adds a lot of character to the jacket.  The color of her plaid hat matches perfectly with the jacket.  The hat is from favorite local brand hat designer Goorin Brothers.  Her crosshatch, sandblasted jeans are from Diesel.

Michele Gates, who is sandwiched between two gorgeous male models, is wearing a sheer, layered, yarn-dyed top from Missoni and dark, stonewashed Rock & Republic jeans.
