Berkeley Urban Air Market
June 20, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 6:00 pm| Free
This Summer, San Francisco’s Favorite Outdoor Shopping Festival Extends to the East Bay
By popular demand Urban Air Market, San Francisco’s esteemed outdoor marketplace for sustainable design, is making its way across the bay to the jasmine-lined streets of Berkeley, California. Recognized as the Bay Area’s fastest growing culinary, cultural and creative destination, Berkeley has long been a supporter of the “buy local, buy green” movement– it’s also home to many of the Urban Air Market’s featured makers and artists!
“Over the past couple of years, I’ve noticed that many home addresses and zip codes from our roster of talented designers and artists have shifted from the West Bay to the East Bay.” Says Danielle Cohen, founder of Urban Air Market, who also admits to recently making the move out of San Francisco’s Mission District to Berkeley.
Located parallel to the Berkeley Farmer’s Market, Urban Air Market: Berkeley will showcase 100 emerging designers as well as musicians and artists that represent the Bay Area’s abundant creative community. Attendees can shop a variety of locally made and handcrafted goods- including the latest in summer fashions and accessories, unique housewares, and memorable Father’s Day gifts.
Partners of Urban Air Market: Berkeley include Handcraft Studio School, the City of Berkeley, the Downtown Berkeley Association and One Medical Group.
Urban Air Market: Berkeley is FREE to attend and will take place alongside the historic Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park on Allston between Milvia and Martin Luther King in downtown Berkeley on Saturday, June 20th from 11am – 6pm.
