Fashion Event Producer Leah Hutt is experienced in throwing fashion shows within San Francisco and promoting up-and-coming fashion creatives.  This Wednesday, she will be hosting a fashion show at supperclub featuring the collection of designer Jenne Giles.  Leah and her co-producer Shae Lynn have been working on the event for the past four weeks, coordinating the details between the designer, supperclub and the talented staff of models, makeup artists, hair stylists, photographers and musicians.

Leah has a strong background in retail, working at high-end luxury department stores Emporio Armani, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s.  Her experience with those retailers gave her a trained eye for style and launched her career as a wardrobe stylist.  She became a stylist because she enjoyed the freedom of creativity experienced by assisting a client with building a solid wardrobe or taking their existing wardrobe and updating it with key items of the current fashion season.  Her great eye for style and personal approach to wardrobe women have established her with a strong clientele that she has impacted and styled over the years.

Her interest in producing fashion shows came from the opportunity she saw to work with and debut local talented designers, models, makeup artists, hairstylists and DJs.  She has worked hard to establish herself as a local stylist and wants to share her success by promoting the talent of others within the industry.  Her fashion shows have been a culmination of fashion industry talent and a top expression of their brand style.  This Wednesday, she will be hosting the Jenne Giles Spring/Summer 2010 Collection at supperclub, 657 Harrison Street in San Francisco.  This will be Jenne Giles first fashion show ever and the debut of her latest collection.

Jenne Giles is a San Francisco based artist who works ranges from traditional fine arts and crafts to innovative performance and installation art.  Jenne started Harlequin Feltworks in 2007, a cutting edge fashion and design company that creates apparel out of felt.  Although most of her business is based around art scarves and accessories, she has started producing tops and dresses and feels like she’s finally tapped into her voice as both a textile and fashion designer.  The fashion show at supperclub will be her first opportunity to show a unified collection ranging from scarves to tops and dresses.  She said “Working with Leah and Shae on this event has given me the chance to really tighten the collection up across the board and try new things.  It will include many one-of-a-kind pieces, especially the finale gown which made to custom fit this event.  For those who have never seen what hand-felted wool can do, it will be a real eye-opener.  It might be best to think of it as fashion fabric play-doh: a painterly, clay-like art medium that can make an endless array of wearable forms.  That same youthful sense of fun and wonder is what I think this collection is about.”
Kao Vey Saephanh of Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa.
Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa Team will be providing hair and makeup styling.  The team includes Abby Nothhaft, the lead hair stylist at Elizabeth Arden.  She has been a stylist for over eight years, trained in hair, makeup and aesthetics.  She would describe her style as classic, edgy and sometimes a little trendy, appreciating the art of high fashion.  Kao Vey Saephanh will also be working with Abby as a hairstylist.  He has been a hair stylist for over eight years, working with many editorial shoots and fashion shows within the Bay Area.
Laura Putz and Gloria Ortiz complements the Elizabeth Arden team with their makeup artistry.  Laura’s body of work includes editorial shoots, film, runway, music videos and weddings.  Gloria has worked in the beauty industry for over fourteen years  and is currently the Lead Esthetician.  Her credit includes many editorial shoots, fashion shows and weddings.  The Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa Team will be displaying their stylistic skills to enhance the vibrancy and innovation of the Jenne Giles collection.
The evening will also feature live music performance by The Human Experience.  This is an international collective of multidisciplinary artists brought together by a shared vision: to create, collaborate and share their art with global communities.  David Block founded The Human Experience as a live interactive performance which encompasses all forms of creative expression ranging from music and dance to live art and mediation.  He will be performing on keyboards while vocals will be provided by Joy Anderson.  Look out for Joy, as she will be wearing a Jenne Giles outfit the designer picked out especially for her.
DJ Cuervo spinning his tunes.
DJ Cuervo, an international DJ that performs primarily at The Endup, will be spinning throughout the evening.  He has edgy, explosive sets that will ignite and thrill.  Cuervo has performed with other industry talent including Doc Martin, DJ Dan, Victor Calderon, Peter Rauhofer, Chris Cox, DJ Rap, Chuck Love, Chad Jack, Ruben Mancias and more.

Additional stylist support will be provided by makeup artists Jenna of Smash Box Cosmetics and Amy Busch of Mac Cosmetics.  Alexis Aquino of VIP Socialite and Flawless Designs will also provide hairstyling support.  Herm Pugay will be the official fashion photographer for the event.  He does mainly street and event photography, but enjoys shooting models and fashion shows.  However, he has a unique, trendy urban edge that will be a refreshing change from mainstream runway shots.

When asked what will be exciting about the event at supperclub, Leah Hutt responded, “This is my second show at supperclub.  I love the space and staff!  I thought of the Jenne Giles collection immediately after choosing supperclub as the venue for the show.  The space is all white and Giles’ collection is a colossal of colorful, wearable art!  It’s also exciting to have Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa hair and makeup team joining the production.  It’s going to be a memorable event featuring some of the greatest local fashion industry talent!”
